Colorfields presents five works of handmade produced with native prairie plants collected from polluted lots (brownfields) across Chicago, printed with inks made from the soil of the matching site. The contaminated, handmade paper marks the transformed plants with large swatches of original sediment, reintroducing the toxins that contaminated their roots.
